Talk is Cheap, an extension of the Lustration series, delves into the fragile relationship between language and truth. It poses a series of quiet but urgent questions: Do people truly mean what they say? Can language still be trusted, or has it become a performative gesture shaped more by social expectation than by genuine intent? In a world saturated with curated personas, empty affirmations and performative dialogue, this work explores the emotional residue left when words fail to align with action. The series considers how language can both connect and betray us, and whether honesty has been sacrificed in favour of palatability and convenience. Through symbolic imagery and a restrained visual language, Talk is Cheap invites the viewer to reflect on the quiet erosion of trust in a culture increasingly defined by surface over substance
